Accelerator

The Hamner Accelerator Facility provides an integrated systems biology platform for the development of early-stage biotechnology and pharmaceutical start-up companies. Seamlessly integrated with two world-class institutes in translational biomedical sciences and toxicology/safety assessment, The Hamner Accelerator houses state-up-the-art facilities supporting health outcomes-based systems biology programs.  Fully equipped and staffed research support units established within a “good laboratory practices” (GLP) validation framework offer a unique opportunity to accelerate the development of early-stage technologies and integrate knowledge of both efficacy and safety into medicines and diagnostics to guide decisions for entry into clinical trials.  A preliminary model is shown below. A full business plan will be completed by fourth quarter, 2007.
