Golberg Library & eResource Center
The Golberg Library & eResource Center at The Hamner is a specialized library that supports the environmental and human health sciences research
Dr. Leon Golberg, first President of CIIT, founded the library in 1979 with his personal collection. The library now has over 12,000 books and other documents and maintains subscriptions to over 1800 scientific journals.
Extensive electronic resources are also available via the Golberg Library Intranet site. From their desktops, Hamner scientists have access to the on-line catalog, electronic versions of some 2000 journals, databases such as PubMed and Web of Science, and reprints of articles published by CIIT and The Hamner scientists since the 1976.
Services provided by library staff include literature searching, document delivery, book purchases, obtaining book loans from both local and national libraries, and employee orientation sessions. Using the Current Contents databases, library staff conduct weekly literature searches for individual scientists based on their personal search profiles and deliver relevant citations via e-mail.
